This month we have 2 parent’s workshops, introducing our Seedling and Headstart Programmes.
The main objective that we focus in Seedling Art, is to teach our students to identify basic shapes in each element. And to develop finer motor skills through line drawing. In Seedling art we introduce colours through acrylic painting and mark making with oil pastels and markers.
When students promote to Kindergarten, we will introduce them to Headstart Art. Headstart Art focuses on design principle – creating art with the use of balance, emphasis, focus, movement, unity, scale, placement, repetition. These design principles equip the students with the ability to compose a visual link, a story, a message through art.
Every individual subject matter is important, they convey information to our audience. Students learnt to make choices.
Eg:
Placement of each subject matter?
How big is each subject matter?
Colours and tones in each subject matter?
Texture within the subject?
In these parent’s workshops we would also like to hear from the parents.
These are some of the frequent asked questions:
If you missed this workshop, don’t worry. We will be running these workshops soon in the middle of the year again. See you soon!
